Air conditioning is the thing people wish they'd installed during the refurbishment rather than after it. Done during first fix, the pipework and condensate disappear into the structure. Done afterwards, there's trunking down a wall you've just had painted.
Get it in early
- Condensate needs a fall to a drain. Retrofitting that into a finished room is the awkward part, not the unit.
- External unit position matters for noise, for your neighbours and often for planning.
- A unit sized by room area rather than heat load will either short-cycle or never keep up.
