Specification, compliance and guarantees

What you buy carries obligations as well as a price. Appliances, boilers and electrical accessories all have standards to meet, and guarantees that depend on correct installation.

Rules change and every property is different. We confirm what applies to yours in writing at the survey rather than leaving you to guess.

Gas appliances must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer for the guarantee to stand
Electrical accessories must meet current standards to be certified
Boilers and unvented cylinders have registration and annual servicing requirements
Slip resistance matters for floor tiles in wet areas
Imported items may not meet UK standards — we check before specifying

Do you take commission from suppliers?

We buy at trade and pass the price on. Where a supplier offers a discount it comes off your invoice, not onto ours — and you are welcome to see the invoices.

Can I buy things myself?

Absolutely, and plenty of clients do. We will fit anything you supply and tell you before you order if something will not work with the services or the space.

Do you have a showroom?

We have a trade counter in W10 for sealants, marble and consumables. For kitchens and sanitaryware we take you to the suppliers we rate.

What if something arrives damaged?

We check deliveries on arrival and handle the replacement with the supplier. That is much easier when the order was placed by us.
